"I am a child of the desert."

"My lived experience shaped my approach to mentoring and collaboration."

"I am committed to safe, equitable, accessible, sustainable water resources and infrastructure and to fostering good water governance, policy and management."

Water Experience

My expertise is in water and environmental policy, climate change adaptation law, policy and decision-making, human dimensions of infrastructure resilience, and actionable knowledge production. Most of my research concerns water resources (quantity and quality) and water infrastructure (drinking water, wastewater, stormwater). My work contributes to gender equity through recruitment and retention of female students to STEM and in mentoring and supporting female scholars and water practitioners.
