Water Experience

All-round interdisciplinary scientist in water-health interlinkages, with more than thirty years of experience in research for inclusive development. Passionate about linking broad ranges of actors and disciplines to jointly develop science-based responses to global challenges, putting water at the centre and health as the ultimate development outcome. Focusses on environmental health risks (particularly water-related diseases) as well as health benefits by using One Health and EcoHealth approaches. Addresses health in irrigation, WASH, the WEF nexus, flooding, urban blue-green spaces, and coastal management. Considers vulnerability of specific age and gender groups facing environmental challenges and effects of climate change.
