"I am a woman who has navigated male-dominated STEM fields her entire career, and who is motivated to help others do the same while staying true to their sense of self."

"My lived experience has made me passionate about transforming the face of STEM and the systemic barriers in academia from within."

"I am committed to education and research at the intersection of environmental sustainability and social justice."

Water Experience

As a researcher, I study Alaskan glaciers and how their mass loss impacts glacial-fed rivers and in turn the communities and ecosystems downstream. As an educator, I am Director of 'Inspiring Girls* Expeditions Alaska,' unique, free, science/art/outdoor exploration programs for high school youth. These programs connect marginalized youth to topics in STEM including water resources through interacting with inspiring climate-impacted landscapes.
