Water Experience
I am a water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) specialist of almost 20 years, focused on policy, advocacy, and program development. I have collaborated extensively with civil society and government to position WASH as a pathway to gender equality across Canada’s feminist policy, including menstrual health and hygiene, nutrition, gender dimensions of WASH in health care, and water security for climate resilience and confronting biodiversity loss. I completed a Master of Science in Water and Environmental Management from the Water, Engineering and Development Centre (WEDC) at Loughborough University, UK with research on sustainability of community managed rural water supply in post-conflict areas of northern Uganda. I also hold an Honours Bachelor of Science in Physical Geography from Carleton University, a certificate in Integrated and Adaptive Water Resources Planning, Management and Governance from McGill University and recent professional development in ecosystems approaches to health with COPEH Canada.
