Women Plus Water

Organizational Website

"I am a mom, grandmother, wife, and water professional."

"My lived experience brought me where I am today. When I was told I couldn’t go into mechanical engineering, it made it that much more important. Nothing would stop me, not even being married and having both our daughters while still in college."

"I am committed to teaching professionals and the greater public about the value of water and the crisis we find ourselves in today."

Water Experience

I have been in the water field for twenty years. I was one of three women in my graduating class for mechanical engineering. I became one of less than ten Special Purpose Water District General Managers in Washington State, then went on to run districts in California. In the private sector I led a development company working on a desalination facility in California, then went on to develop a business plan and water strategy for a large, publicly traded company looking to get into the water infrastructure space. My career has allowed me to gain friends and colleagues from around the globe, many are other women in the water space. Throughout my career I’ve promoted STEM for girls and mentored students and younger professionals.
