"I am a gender conscious water expert who seeks to integrate gender in all water management processes."

"My lived experience as a young girl and my observation of the role that my mother, sisters and other women played strengthened my commitment to ease their burdens by facilitating a recognition of their role as well as their integration in water resources management."

Water Experience

I have been working in the water sector for 20 years. My geographical areas of expertise are Southern Africa, Southeast Asia, South Asia, Caribbean. My work has largely focused on the promotion and implementation of IWRM through multistakeholder platforms at the national and regional and at the transboundary level. Included in this work is the promotion of gender equality in national policies, plans and programs as well as training of water specialists in gender equality and the production of gender materials.
