Women Plus Water

"I am Colombian"

Water Experience

I have worked with the public sector abroad related to the environmental sector, including water management. I currently have a Master's in Water Security and have been working in GIWS post-graduation. I have always looked up to women in our field, connecting with them to work/collaborate or calling out when more representation is needed. When in leadership positions, I tried to practice active listening, and learn from different communities/individuals, no matter their backgrounds or skills. As far as how I have challenged water issues, I will say that by trying to connect with other-minded individuals when needed, taking into account traditional/community knowledge and always seeking further training whenever I feel it is needed to perform better in my position, in order to give back to the communities I'm involved with.
