Water Experience

My research has focused on the intersection of hazards, vulnerability, and risk decision making. I have conducted extensive research on social response to water-related hazards including flood, drought, heavy rainfall, hurricane, and sea level rise. My interdisciplinary water research has been published in reputable journals such as Water Research , Journal of Hydrology, Science of the Total Environment, Environmental Research Letters, Climate Policy, Climatic Change , Risk Analysis, International Journal of Disaster Risk Reduction, International Journal of Climatology , Annals of the American Association of Geographers, Climate Risk Management, Sustainable Cities and Society. I was a fellow for the National Science Foundation Enabling Next Generation of Hazards and Disaster Researchers Fellowship Program for the 2019 - 2021 round. I was also an Early-Career research fellow of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine Gulf Research Program from 2017-2019.
