Call for Workshop Facilitators
The GWF-YP executive is looking for fellow YPs with skills and experiences in a variety of areas to facilitate one-hour introductory workshops to share their knowledge and experiences with other GWF-YPs. This provides an opportunity to connect with fellow YPs and gain new skills and knowledge. We encourage and are open to collaborations on these workshops across partnered institutions.
Suggested topics compiled based on feedback from GWF-YPs are listed below:
- Spatial mapping in R
- Linear regressions
- Jupyter notebooks
We are not limited to this list and are open to suggestions. Ideally these will be hybrid workshops, allowing YPs that are local to attend in person while other YPs will be able to attend virtually.
If you feel as though you have valuable skills and experiences that you would like to share with other GWF-YPs please complete this google form. This is a wonderful opportunity to practice your seminar and workshop skills. This call is open on a rolling basis and as we receive applications, we will work with you to schedule a workshop and book a location that works within your schedule. We will also be compensating workshop presenters with an honorarium.
If you are a student, postdoctoral fellow or early career researcher working with one of the GWF projects, make sure you sign up for the GWF YP email list to receive information regarding opportunities, scholarships, bursaries, events and more!
