Dr Slaughter received his doctorate in South Africa where he investigated the link between flow and water quality in South African rivers. After graduating, Dr Slaughter worked on several projects, including climate change adaptation strategies for bulk water suppliers in South Africa and the development of a water quality model, WQSAM, which links with systems models routinely used in South Africa. Dr Slaughter has joined the GIWS as a Visiting Professor under Dr Saman Razavi's IMPC group, and is assisting in the investigation of water resources management models for IWRM of large Canadian river basins./span>
