Ian Martin Field/Lab Technician

Ian is an MSc. graduate from the joint Environmental Science program at Wilfrid Laurier University and the University of Waterloo studying the associated impacts of agricultural land management practices on field scale hydrology and how that impacts freshwater resources in the Great Lakes Basin. He has worked on local and international research projects based in Canada with multiple Universities and NGO's as well as with the World Wide Fund for Nature in Madagascar. Within the MWF project, he helps maintain, collect, and analyze hydrological and meteorological data, install instrumentation and coordinates Global Water Futures field research programs across field locations. Current research interests relate to water resources and water resources management with a global context.  He is an avid traveller, outdoor enthusiast, hiker, skier, and is excited to spend as much time in the mountains as he can.
