Al Pietroniro
Director, Environment and Climate Change Canada - Water and Climate Services
Dr. Alain Pietroniro is the Executive Director of Environment and Climate Change Canada’s (ECCC) National Hydrology Research Centre (Saskatoon, SK) and an Adjunct Professor in the Centre for Hydrology, University of Saskatchewan. He Graduated with distinction from the Agricultural Engineering program at McGill University and completed his PhD in Civil Engineering from the University of Waterloo. Dr. Pietroniro is Canadian Delegate to the WMO Commission on Hydrology and a registered professional engineer in Saskatchewan. He is currently contributing to the ECCC’s Hydrology Research Program with a major research focus on environmental remote sensing.
Dr. Pietroniro is the Chairman of the Board of Directors.
