Julie is a Postdoctoral Research Assistant at the Global Institute for Water Security (GIWS). Her research work focusses on modelling reservoir water quality under different water management strategies and climate change to meet the information needs of the Saskatchewan water agencies. Julie holds a PhD from the University of Saskatchewan in water-quality modelling. Her thesis concentrated on modelling the water-quality of a shallow, seasonally-frozen, impounded Saskatchewan lake using the CE-QUAL-W2 model. Previously she graduated with a Master’s degree in Ecology & Conservation from Lancaster University (UK) / Wageningen University (Netherlands). Before her move to Canada she worked as an Environmental Scientist in a UK Government funded national research institute.
