Large-domain process-based modeling. This project investigates the feasibility of continental hydrologic simulations that span multiple decades at an hourly time resolution. The continent is divided into over 500,000 river basins and river segments, and simulations run from 1979 to 2019. A guiding principle in this project is that all the work is open source and reproducible, so that it is possible to extend this feasibility study into practical applications such as flood forecasting.
