Yanping Li PhD
Adjunct Professor School of Environment and Sustainability, University of SaskatchewanDr Li pursues fundamental science projects as well as interdisciplinary research topics, such as the examination of convective mechanisms over the plains east of the Rockies, study of the climate-related precipitation extremes. The ongoing interdisciplinary projects include the examination of the changing agro-climatic conditions, the feedback of land-surface change to regional weather or hydrological-related extremes using continental scale cloud-resolving coupled atmosphere-land surface-hydrology modeling system, as well as crop-climate-soil moisture interactions and its impact on local heatwaves. She mainly uses large-scale climate and earth system modeling as the main tool to solve climate change related problems.
